So much exciting news!!

I found out the week before last that 5 of my friends are expecting babies. It was definitly the week for me to get good news!! Congrats to Jill, Maria, Rhetta, Cori & Jennifer!
Jill and Maria I know from Church!

Rhetta is one of my best friends from High School. We have been friends since the 7th grade. I am so excited to get to share in her pregnancy with her. Her due date is the middle of November.

Cori is my cousin-in-law and she is due in October and Jennifer, my sister in law, is due in early November. I am so excited to have more cousins for Price & Owen. Jennifer has a little girl, Taylor, who is Price's age and they are best buds. I am sure that all the new ones will be best friends as well.

As if that wasn't enough exciting news.......One of my Best Friends got engaged this past weeked! Suzanne and Dave will be getting married on August 23rd! I am so excited for her. Suzanne was my college and post-college roommate! She has been such a special friend to me for so many years and she was my biggest help when planning my wedding so I owe her bigtime. Let's just hope I can fit into that bridesmaids dress....I am already putting Owen on a diet! 2008 is turning out to be such a fabulous year! I am looking forward to so many special days!!! I am blessed with so many special friends and I am excited to be a part of each of your milestones!



And since I don't have any updated pictures to share, I'll share my egg cakes that I made for Easter. Josh's grandmother has been helping me improve my baking skills and we had a cake decorating night for me to make cakes for some friends. Suz, I know your proud!! :)






And yes, I did have a little help on the flowers and leaves but I did the rest all by myself!!

A day at the Park

It was so beautiful today that Betsy and I decided to take Price & Mary Grace to the park. They had a wonderful time. It's so nice that they can do so much now. Seeing them play together is so wonderful. I hope they'll be lifelong friends.

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter. Price had a great day and the Easter Bunny was good to him. He got a set of Mega Blocks, some Melissa & Doug Puzzles, Pat the Bunny Book, A Mickey Mouse, Veggie Tales and Backyardigan's DVD and a DVD player for the playroom since the one we got at Christmas is already broken! After Church we had Easter Lunch at the zoo with my mom and stepdad. It was a fundraiser lunch that they put on for Easter and it was WONDERFUL!! After we finished eating we strolled around the zoo for a bit until nap time. We had a great day and we are so thankful to celebrate such a special day with the ones we love.

We have had a busy week getting ready for Easter. Price had another Easter Egg Hunt at his Meme's house and then we attempted to go to Fox Tree Farm with my Mom's Group for a hay ride and Egg Hunt but we had a "terrible two" moment and we left before we made it to the Easter Egg Hunt. I still got a few good pics to share!!

Major Achievement!

Today Price went Pee Pee in the Potty!! Yes, Ladies, I said Pee Pee in the Potty. For a few weeks we have been trying to get him to sit on the potty before bath time but until today he only wanted to take the seat apart and put it on his head. He has been pee peeing on demand for quite some time, but it just happened to be on the rug in the bathroom, in the tub or on our carpet. Today the light bulb just went off. I asked him if he wanted to Pee Pee in the Potty and he went straight to the potty, I took his shoes, pants and diaper off and pee pee he went!! He stood up and pointed and said "Pee Pee". YES - PEE PEE INDEED!! I am so proud. (I even took pictures, but I will spare you....I am sure you all know what pee pee looks like!) I called his Daddy to tell him the good news and his response was, "You let him pee sitting down?? He needs to be standing up when he pees!" MEN!! I already have one male in the house who isn't good at aiming.....I don't need two. :)

First Easter Egg Hunt

Today our church had an Easter Egg hunt at Guignard Park. Price had a great time and found 5 eggs all by himself. They did divide the preschoolers up and make their eggs a little easier to find! :) It was a great day and we had a very nice time. I love that Price is able to do so many more things now. Sometimes the two's are terrible but there also a lot of fun! :) Only 4 more months till he's 2!

And THANKS to everyone who called, sent cards, plants, prayed and thought about us the last two weeks. It's so wonderful to know I have such a special support group of friends when I need them most. We love you all!

Another Angel in Heaven

On Thursday, February 28th, my grandmother joined my grandfather in heaven. She has been suffering with congestive heart failure for quite sometime but always seems to pull thru. This time she did not. I am overwhelmed with emotion. I miss her so much but I know she is no longer in pain. I am glad her and my grandfather are together again. It's just so emotional to think that I will no longer be able to call her. I will not be driving to Camden to visit her anymore. Price will never get to know his grandmother. She was such a special woman. She was beautiful on the inside and out. She will be missed more then words can express.
